Common Questions

  • I can't login or my password doesn't work.
To have your current username and password emailed to you, click here. Some ISPs (like Earthlink) may block the registration email information needed to activate your account. Make sure to use an email address that will not block the initial registration email, or allow the domain engenuous.com to send you emails.

  • How do I read the next passage?
Simply click the scripture link by "Next Passages" found at the top of the home page.

Only the Read-Through the Bible in a Year Plan is associated with month and day, not plans you design on your own.

  • How do I view or print the read-through?
Click the "View Plan" link found in the status box in the middle of the home page. You can choose to view the entire plan at once, which you can print.

  • How come the audio won't read more than one chapter?
Some versions (such as the NIV) have some listening restrictions due to copyright considerations. Therefore, more than one chapter cannot be read at a time. Bummer, I know.

  • Can I unmark a passage I accidentally read/Can I start over?
Yes. Start by clicking the "Manage History" link found in the status box in the middle of the home page. You will see a table listing all the passages you have read. Click the trash can to delete a record.

  • I see an Ad on your site I find objectionable. What's up with that?
Unfortunately, I can't control the ads google puts on my site. I can, however, block ads that are objectionable. Please contact me if you find an ad you think is inappropriate for this site. Include the URL that appears in the ad in the email. It may take a couple days for the ad to stop appearing.

  • Still stuck?

  • About This Site

Have you ever read the entire Bible all the way through? By committing just twenty or thirty minutes a day you can use this on-line reading plan to help you read through the Bible in just one year. There will be three passages displayed in the footer of the page. Click on all three links to read the selections for that day. To start, simply register with the Engenuous Network.

Audio is available for some translations and passages. A speaker icon will appear above the passage if audio is available. You will need the Real Audio player, available at Real.com.

If you miss a day, want to read ahead, or start at a different point, simply view the reading plan for daily links or to print out the schedule. Once you click on a link from the reading plan, the website will automatically remember the last passage you read. You should enter your e-mail address to accurately track your progress from any computer. Your email address will not be used for solicitations or sold to any outside vendors.

You can also design your own read-through. Click Design A Plan to make a custom read-through plan. You can specify which books to read, which order to read them in, and the amount of time to read the plan. You can optionally let other people read your plan as well. To change or view your plans, click View My Plans.

Once you enter your email, your daily statistics will be logged, such as which passages you have read, number of sessions, number of consecutive days you've visited the site, and the percent of the Bible you have read. This is provided primarily for your personal enjoyment and motivation. To view your score and the leader board, click on the leader board link on the home page.

Click the the Manage History link to view and manage sessions.

Simply return to this page daily, and click the scripture link to get the daily scriptures. The default version is NIV, and the default language is English. Try different display settings to see which one you like best. Your settings will be saved. To track your progress, you must be registered. This way you can login from any computer and maintain your statistics. Your e-mail will not be used for any other purpose than to track your progress.

Thank you for your interest and participation in this website.
